training and development
In speaking about the importance of effective and directed training on business effectiveness Dr. Janice Lapp made the following observation:
"There is only one thing worse than training your staff and having them leave, that's not training them and having them stay."
Training then is important, however the old adage that "If you can't do the job, become the trainer." has been levelled at the training and organisational development world for many years, and sadly, not without reason.
That charge cannot be levelled at STS or its consultants. From the inception of the company we have made it our practice to only engage consultants who already have high levels of proven subject matter expertise, skill and credability in their identified key areas and who have the ability to promote high levels of learning and skills development. To support that approach our programmes have been tailored to meet the identified needs of ouy clients. The consultants primary task is to take those high levels of skill and and expertise and provide programme participants with the resources, skills, authority and opportunity to do something new or to complete existing tasks to a higher quality level. Our consultants employ well proven facilitation methods in a challenging and motivating way that promotes high levels of participation and personal learning.
We have grouped the subject areas under three interlocking areas: 1. People, 2. Policy, and 3. Protocol and Procedure.
